Bamboo Sprouts 1 is the last collection in a body of work which grew out of my fascination with repetition in nature and the infinite variety even in the simplest form. The collection gives form to the enjoyment I find in collecting, grouping and arranging found objects. Bamboo Sprouts is a wall relief. The frame is formed from stoneware clay which was smoke fired and finished with wax. Belgium linen covers the background. The collection within the frame is porcelain seed forms glazed in an unearth glaze and tipped with gold painted bamboo shoots.
